Description

Yes, I am an anime fan. Yes, I like Japanese music. Yes, I have around 70 volumes of various mangas.

And yet, I am sane enough to be irritated by those Weeaboos who think they know EVERYTHING about Japan because THEY LIEK TOTALLY RAED ALL OF THA MANGAS AND ANIMUS AND PLAY ALLL OF THE GAMES AND DATING SIMS BECUZZ THEYR LIEK TOTALLY KAWAIII DESUUUU~~

And that is why I think Weeaboo bashing is hilarious. I also think all of the Weeaboos that oppose weeaboo bashing are hilarious.

I love anime/manga, Japanese video games, Japanese street fashion, and Japanese culture itself and I'm not very fond of weeaboos at all because they're so disrespectful. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with liking a different culture as long as you actually show respect. There's a fine line between appreciating a culture and fetishizing/appropriating it. What weeaboos do is not cultural appreciation contrary to popular belief.

It annoys me when weeabooism apologists would use the "ignorance" card to justify the behaviors of weeaboos. What's even worse is these apologists would use the "they're just appreciating a different culture" card, not realizing that what weeaboos do is NOT cultural appreciation. These apologists are misguided and confused.

If weeaboos are ignorant then how come they get angry when they realize Japan is not what they expected it to be or get angry if you correct them about the pronunciation of the Japanese language? Just because they don't have bad intentions doesn't mean their actions should be excused. Intentions do not matter whether they're good or bad because actions do (unless we're talking about simple, little accidents and mistakes). Weeaboos actually have no respect for Japanese culture at all even though they THINK they do (because they're in their own little worlds) and they actually hate the real Japanese culture because it's not what they expected it to be (they expected it to be based on STEREOTYPES). They only like the bastardized, fantasy version of Japanese culture and pop culture. Plus, they fetishize Japanese and/or Asians. They don't see us as ordinary people, they see us as objects to collect or mystical beings which is why they get angry if they see a Japanese person who doesn't fit Japanese stereotypes (they think that their ethnicity defines their personality, not realizing that ethnicity does not define personality. They will only date someone because they're Japanese, not because of their personality, not realizing that the Japanese person is an individual with an individual mind who happens to be Japanese and not all Japanese people think or act the same.). Not to mention, they have Paris Syndrome, they think that Japan is full of sunshine and rainbows when it's like any other country in the world: imperfect. Plus, they think that just because a person is Japanese, they must live a fabulous life smh when they're just an ordinary person with struggles who happens to be Japanese. We all have struggles regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, you name it because we're all human and life isn't always fair.

What I hate so much is when weeaboos deny they're racist when they clearly are. They're like "I'm not racist because I love Japanese!" (Oh please) Without respect, there can't be love. Weeaboos have 0% respect for the culture that they oh so love. What they're feeling is not even love, it's obsession and lust.

Racism isn't just hatred of a race/ethnicity because you think they're inferior to your own race/ethnicity, it's also objectification, fetishization, and disrespect of a race/ethnicity. Like I said, weeaboos don't see Japanese people as ordinary people, they see them as nothing more than objects to collect and devices for fantasizing smh.

Weaboos peppering their speech with Japanese phrases is not them learning, if you want to learn a language then actually learn, don't just pepper your own language/whatever language you're fluent in with Japanese because how will you learn that way? Contrary to popular belief, weeaboos don't actually wanna learn Japanese because they think they "already mastered it" just because they're "actually Japanese".

It's sad that people would blindly accuse and judge others for enjoying anime and liking Japanese culture because of these weeaboos.
